AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS LAUNCH AT LIME WOOD

Herb House is driven by the remedial powers of nature, making the most of Lime Wood’s calming surroundings, and also a holistic approach to wellness. The introduction of Ayurvedic treatments, with their blend of rebalancing through realistic practices and often small-but-mighty lifestyle tweaks, matches Herb House's ethos entirely. With treatments by dedicated therapist Sheena Chandran designed to rebalance the mind, body, and spirit, the treatments are a welcome addition to the menu.

From the circulation-boosting Abhyanga Treatment (where warm oil is poured across the body followed by long, energy mapped strokes), to the Lumbosacral therapy where a mix of herbal paste dough and warm oil is massaged into the lower back to strengthen the spinal cord, the new Herb House Ayurvedic treatments are designed to holistically improve various mind and body issues (particularly stress and lack of sleep). Sheena has also studied Reiki healing techniques to complement her Ayurvedic skills working them in tandem to better enhance guests' experiences. Sheena and Herb House’s team can suggest the best Ayurvedic therapies for each guest, tailoring treatments to any particular pain points or concerns.

Treatments from £150 for a 60 minute treatment | Further information here:  www.limewoodhotel.co.uk

ALICE VINCENT LAUNCHES FIRST SAVOUR RETREAT AT LIME WOOD

Writer, author and broadcaster, Alice Vincent has inspired thousands with her cult newsletter, Savour, centred around pausing the fast pace of everyday life to appreciate the finer, delicious details. Alongside various nature inspired columns across Vogue and The Financial Times, Alice’s books include Why Women Grow and Stories of Soil.

This November, Alice will host the first of its kind ‘Savour Retreat’ at Lime Wood. Focusing on savouring the big and small elements of living, Alice leads guests on mindful walks through the forest, foraging with Sammie Longhorn for seasonal supper ingredients and taking time to share, savour and reflect. Alice will be leading workshops to encourage guests to harness their creativity and live more consciously. Sound healing, morning swims and plenty of good conversation will make this a meaningful getaway. Alice and Luke Holder share a love of seasonal produce and this retreat showcases the importance of ‘savouring’ seasonality with dishes reflecting what’s been grown at the time.

Alice Vincent Savour Retreat Dates: 12-13th November 2024: One night retreat from £808 pp (based on two people sharing) including all workshops, food and drink. www.limewoodhotel.co.uk
